Stop in at our boo-tiful Autism Society SE WI office for some spooky fun and protect yourself for the cold & flu season. Our friends at Hayat Pharmacy will be joining us for a not so scary Halloween Party and Sensory Friendly Vaccine Clinic! Come dressed up in your favorite costume and enjoy some spooky snacks and creepy crafts while getting caught up on routine vaccines. Flu, Covid, and other routine childhood vaccines will be available for individuals aged 5 and up.
What makes this vaccine clinic sensory friendly?
- Hayat pharmacy and their staff are a sensory friendly trained clinic.
- Nurses adapt to the needs of the patient, instead of the patient having to adapt to the norms of a typical clinic.
- Communication boards will be available for use.
- VEI (Vaccine Education Initiative) kits are available for use! These kits include: noise reducing headphones, shot blockers, fidget toys, stickers, and a “What is an Accessible Vaccine Kit?” information card.
